CURRITUCK COUNTY, NC (WITN)- A Jarvisburg giftshop was destroyed by a massive fire Saturday afternoon.
Crews received a call around 1:40 p.m. reporting a structure fire. They responded to The Cotton Gin, on Caratoke Highway, to find flames and smoke coming from the roof of the business.
Lower Currituck Volunteer Fire Department Deputy Chief Hayden Poulin said, as of shortly after 8 p.m., the bulk of the fire had been knocked down and units were still on scene.
No injuries have been reported. The cause is under investigation.
The Lower Currituck Volunteer Fire Department and Crawford Township Fire Department responded.
