Many still unable to get back home across eastern Carolina
Many people who evacuated ahead or during Hurricane Florence are still unable to get back home because of flood waters.
That includes those who live on or off of Whichards Beach Road in Chocowinity where there are 600 homes.
Ray Pascall is among those who left and says, "I never seen the water that high. Lived here for 47 years and that's the highest I ever seen it."
Dustin Gooding says, "I'm just trying to make it down to see my camper. See what I got left. Go from there."
While the water is from storm surge it is still taking awhile to recede.
