MOREHEAD CITY, NC (WITN) Main Street Managers from all across the state are in Morehead City this week for their annual meeting.
They are sharing projects and ideas to help continue downtown growth.
Public art, such as the wrapped signal boxes in downtown Morehead City, are just one of the few ways communities are helping revitalize their downtown spaces.
In addition to art, the re-purposing of vacant buildings for both commercial and residential use has proved successful.
The Main Street program provides downtown development directors and their staffs with the opportunity to network and share ideas on innovative projects that can be implemented across the state.
The meeting wraps up Friday.
