A holiday classic is coming to the main stage.

Magnolia Arts Center is performing The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, which is based on the children's book by Barbara Robinson.

The play follows the story of a mother who has taken on the directing role for a church's Christmas pageant. It's not a silent night when some mischievous kids decide to take part in the play.

Director Ken Newelt says audiences of all ages will enjoy the chaos and fun that ensues throughout the performance.

"It's about kindness, compassion, understanding and acceptance. It's a comedy and it's great for the whole family," said

The cast includes more than 30 actors of all ages.

The show will run from December 5-15 at Magnolia Arts Center in Greenville. For tickets, call 1-888-622-3868 or
