PITT COUNTY, NC (WITN) - The Leroy James Farmers' Market will be open for a few more weeks of the 2017 season, through the end of the year. Market Manager La Rita Johnson hopes folks will remember to consider dropping by the market for holiday meal supplies and locally crafted gifts.
Folks can still shop the farmers' market for salad greens, eggs, nuts, vegetables like sweet potatoes, local honey and specialty cakes this time of year.
Local vendors are also set up with potential holiday gift items like lotions and soaps, jewelry, wreaths, photography and much more.
The Famers' Market is currently open Thursday - Saturday from 8am - 1pm, but it will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday. After that, the market switches to winter hours which will be Friday-Saturday from 8am - 1pm.
The market will close for the season on December 23.
