Lenoir County meth arrests

LENOIR COUNTY, NC (WITN) - Eastern Carolina deputies made a drug stop that netted nearly 1 thousand grams of liquid methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Deputies with the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office conducted a vehicle traffic stop on Highway 70 west near LaGrange for a traffic violation.

During the stop, they searched the vehicle and deputies found approximately 976 grams of liquid meth along with several drug paraphernalia items.

The vehicle was occupied by four persons: Robert Dolphas Lowery, Ernie Ray James Jr., Danielle Mcintyre Mooring, and Christopher Tyler Walker.

As a result of the seizure, deputies arrested Lowery, James, Mooring, and Walker and charged all of them with two counts of trafficking methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Lowery was also wanted for two felony probation violation charges and a felony obtaining property false pretense charge from Onslow County.

All of the suspects were transported, processed and taken before the magistrate.

Lowery received a $265,000 secured bond, James received a $250,000 secured bond. Walker and Mooring each received a $500,000 secured bond.

They were all placed in the W.E. Billy Smith Detention Facility.
