Jersey Mikes raises $85k for Children's Miracle Network

EASTERN CAROLINA (WITN) - Local Jersey Mike's restaurants raised more than $85,000 for the Children's Miracle Network during their annual Day of Giving fundraiser.

This year, participating stores donated 100% of sales to the Children's Miracle Network, which helps sick and injured families from across 29 Eastern Carolina counties who are being treated at the James and Connie Maynard Children's Hospital at Vidant Medical Center.

A total of $85,352 was raised in the Greenville area.

In Swansboro, $20,619 was donated for Backpack Friends Serving Onslow and Carteret Counties.

As part of Jersey Mikes' annual Day of Giving, restaurants across Eastern Carolina will donate 100% of sales Wednesday to the Children's Miracle Network.

The nationwide fundraising efforts allows local franchises to choose local charities to support.

The Children's Miracle Network helps sick and injured families from across 29 Eastern Carolina counties who are being treated at the James and Connie Maynard Children's Hospital at Vidant Medical Center.

The Jersey Mikes Day of Giving is Wednesday, March 27.

The effort has raised more than $340,000 for CMN in the last ten years.
