Inmate fight breaks out at Onslow County jail

ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - An investigation is underway after a fight broke out between inmates at a local jail this weekend.

The Jacksonville Daily News reports that at least eight inmates got into a fight at the Onslow County jail just after midnight on Saturday.

The jail was quickly placed on lock down.

Reports say no officers were injured, but a few inmates received minor cuts and bruises.

There's no word on what prompted the fight and charges may be possible after an investigation is complete.
