Holiday events happening in Pitt County this weekend

PITT COUNTY, NC (WITN) - Santa is coming to town!

A number of festive events are happening throughout Pitt County over the next couple of days to help get people in the holiday spirit.

The festivities kick off with the Jingle Art Jam​ Thursday from 5:30- 8:30 pm at Emerge Gallery. It's an annual holiday sale featuring handmade fine arts and crafts from various artists and businesses.

Tickets are $20 per person or $30 per couple.

On Friday, the uptown Greenville ArtWalk ​kicks off along with the annual Greenville Gives tree lighting. Both events take place in uptown from 5 pm- 8 pm.

In Farmville, vendors will line Main Street and Santa will head into town at 6 pm at the Farmville Gazebo as part of the A Taste of Farmville ​event. There will also be horse drawn carriage rides and traditional hay rides.

Santa will then head over to Greenville for the Jaycees Christmas Parade​ at 5 pm on Saturday. The parade starts on Evans Street and continues through the uptown district.
