Holiday events happening in Pitt County this weekend

Santa is coming to town!

A number of festive events are happening throughout Pitt County over the next couple of days to help get people in the holiday spirit.

The festivities kick off with the

​ Thursday from 5:30- 8:30 pm at Emerge Gallery. It's an annual holiday sale featuring handmade fine arts and crafts from various artists and businesses.

Tickets are $20 per person or $30 per couple.

On Friday, the uptown

​kicks off along with the annual Greenville Gives tree lighting. Both events take place in uptown from 5 pm- 8 pm.

In Farmville, vendors will line Main Street and Santa will head into town at 6 pm at the Farmville Gazebo as part of the

​event. There will also be horse drawn carriage rides and traditional hay rides.

Santa will then head over to Greenville for the

​ at 5 pm on Saturday. The parade starts on Evans Street and continues through the uptown district.
