High school junior heads to college with more than 90 scholarships

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - A high school junior in our state who has received more than 90 college scholarships says she'll attend North Carolina Central University in the fall.

The Jacksonville Daily News reports that 16-year-old Ny'quasia Brown will go to NCCU in Durham this fall.

She graduated from White Oak High School in three years.

On top of that, she held down two jobs to help her mother support her three siblings.

Brown was accepted to the Honors College at NCCU where she plans to major in political science and minor in criminal justice.

She then plans to attend law school.
