Havelock police warn about uptick in car break-ins
Havelock police say there have been several reports of car break-ins recently.
Police say there have been more than a dozen reports filed about break-ins in the Tucker Creek subdivision. They say seven cars were broken into on Wednesday night. Victims reported that smaller things were stolen, such as loose change and wallets. Police say there tends to be a rise in break-ins around the holiday season.
A $500 cash reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or people responsible. Remember to always lock your door and not to leave valuables in your car.
