Havelock man arrested after shooting at deputies during domestic dispute
An Eastern Carolina man is behind bars on Saturday after shooting at sheriff's deputies responding to a call.
The Craven County Sheriff's Office responded to a call Friday night on Dolphin Lane in Havelock in reference to a domestic disturbance, according to Craven County Investigative Sergeant Mike Sawyer.
Sawyer says 27-year-old Andrew Foster of Dolphin Lane barricaded himself inside the residence and shot at deputies. At the time, Foster was the only one inside the residence. After a few hours, Foster surrendered.
No one was injured during the shooting.
Foster is charged with two felony counts of assault on law enforcement officer with a firearm and assault on a female.
He is currently being held on a $1 million bond in the Craven County Confinement Facility.
