GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - A local restaurant plans to put the finishing touches on their Christmas tree Monday, with some community help.
Villa Verde Dominican restaurant in Greenville is throwing a tree-trimming party Monday evening from 5:30 p.m.- 7 p.m. at 2601 E. 10th Street.
Restaurant owner Jay Bastardo says he bought a Fraser fir tree from the North Carolina mountains that is too big to fit through restaurant doors. Instead, he put the tree outside of the restaurant, but he now needs help decorating it!
Residents are invited to stop by and hang their favorite ornament on the tree.
Santa Claus will also be on hand to pose for some pictures. Children under the age of 12 can eat free nachos from the nacho bar.
