UPDATE: Suspect arrested in Greenville murder

GREENVILLE, NC (WITN) - Greenville police have made an arrest in their second homicide of the year.

Dwayne Wiggins, of Greenville, was found dead at the Citgo gas station at West 5th Street and Memorial Drive early Friday.

Police have charged 27-year-old James Lee Freeman Junior of Farmville with first degree murder. Police say the two knew each other but a motive is still under investigation.

Freeman is in the Pitt County Detention Center under no bond.

Police say a Shot Spotter alert around 1:00 a.m. tipped off police about the shooting.

Tre'von Tyson was shot and killed January 12th at an apartment on MacGregeor Downs Road. No one has been arrested in that homicide.
