UPDATE: Townhouse complex fire possibly arson, investigation turned over to Greenville Police

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN)- Greenville Police say that they've taken over the investigation into a townhouse complex fire this past Friday.

Public Information Officer Kristen Hunter says that Fire/Rescue determined that the fire at the Lakeview townhomes on Spring Forest Road may have been intentionally set.

The investigation is now in the hands of officers.

No other information about the fire was available.

No one was injured in Friday's blaze.

An investigation is underway as to what started a fire at a Greenville townhome complex this morning.

Greenville Fire/Rescue crews are still at the scene of the fire at the Lakeview townhomes on Spring Forest Road. Firefighters got the call just after 11 a.m.

Public Information Officer Rebekah Thurston says that there were no injuries.

Thurston says it's unclear at this time how many units and residents have been impacted by the fire.
