Greenville Fire & Rescue hosts toy, coat drive

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - A local fire department is collecting toys and coats for children in need this holiday.

Greenville Fire & Rescue will be at the Krispy Kreme on East 10th Street Friday morning collecting donations of new, unwrapped toys and gently-used coats as part of Operation Santa Claus.

Their efforts support the Salvation Army's efforts to make sure every child has a gift and warm clothes this holiday season.

Firefighters will accept donations alongside Henry Hinton from WTIB's Talk of the Town from 7 a.m.- 9 a.m.
