Greene County man indicted on eleven child porn charges

A federal grand jury has indicted an Eastern Carolina man on eleven child porn counts.

Jeremy Lane is facing ten counts of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says the 38-year-old man, who lives near La Grange, was found back in June 2017 with at least ten images with children in sexually explicit situations. The indictment claims Lane was found with digital media that contained videos and photos of children in sexually explicit conduct.

The man was originally arrested by Greene County deputies and the SBI after they received a cybertip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Lane, if convicted, faces a minimum of five years in federal prison and a maximum of 20 years on each count. He would also face up to a lifetime of supervised release following his release from prison.
