Third suspect in Goldsboro motel homicide turns himself in

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WITN) - The third person wanted for a murder Friday night at an Eastern Carolina motel is now behind bars.

Goldsboro police say Jose Roman, 18, turned himself in around 4:30 p.m. Monday.

Roman is charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

On Saturday night officers arrested Cameron Smith, 18, and then hours later on Sunday morning nabbed Jaime Toledano, 20.

The arrests came after Tishan Geigher, 34, was shot outside of the American's Best Value Inn in Goldsboro on Friday night.

Geigher, who had been living at the motel, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Roman is being held without bond and is scheduled to appear before a judge on Tuesday.

Authorities are still searching for Jose Roman, 18, who is considered to be armed and dangerous.

The three men are facing several charges including murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Police are investigating a homicide that happened in one Eastern Carolina city Friday night.

Goldsboro police responded to a shots fired call at the America's Best Value Inn at 10:38 p.m. on Friday.

Once on the scene, they found 34-year-old Tishan Geigher, of Goldsboro, lying outside of room 122 suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was pronounced dead on the scene.

According to a press release, Geigher was living at the motel.

During the investigation, warrants were obtained for three men for murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Saturday night, officers arrested 18-year-old Cameron Smith with no bond. Around 1:00 a.m. Sunday, officers also arrested 20-year-old Jaime Toledano with no bond. They are both scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

18-year-old Jose Roman is still wanted and is considered armed and dangerous.
