Goldsboro man held under $1 million bond on attempted first-degree murder charges

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WITN) - A man from Goldsboro is facing attempted first degree murder charges stemming from a shooting last month.

According to the Goldsboro Police Department, Sha'Kur Brewington is under a $1 million secured bond in the Wayne County Jail for attempted first degree murder charges. Police say officers responded to the 1200 block of N. James Street on October 3rd for a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they say they found a 17-year-old who had been shot.

The victim was taken to Wayne-UNC Health to be treated for life-threatening injuries and later flown to Vidant Medical Center. There is no word on how the victim is doing.
