Giving Tuesday benefits organizations in East
After a Black Friday weekend full of buying, the holiday season continues with Giving Tuesday, a day dedicated to giving back to the community.
Local organizations like the Ronald McDonald House in Greenville have campaigns like 10 for 10, where they are asking people to give $10 and ask 10 friends to do the same. The $10 will help a family stay there for a night.
Other nonprofits, like Aces with Autism Child Development Center, hope to use donations to support more families of autistic children financially, get kids off their wait list, and provide more services in addition to therapy.
In the Christmas spirit, one anonymous donor got a head start, donating a decked-out playroom to the kids that includes a slide, monkey bars, climbing walls and more.
Kyle Robinson, Aces for Autism's co-founder said everything helps. "The more funding we have, the more individuals we can hire, the more kids we can impact and that's our ultimate goal. Every little bit helps impact us - allows us to impact more kids," he explained.
The Ronald McDonald House has a Facebook page up for donations. The website is https://rmhenc.org/.
Aces for Autism has a website where you can donate directly and it also has a Facebook page set up for donations. Their website is https://acesforautismnc.com/.
