Scotland Neck police say they are still looking for the car used in Tuesday's drive-by shooting that wounded a total of five people, including a child.

The shooting happened near the intersection of East 13th Street and Greenwood Street around 2:30 p.m.

Four victims were found on East 13th Street, all with chest, leg and arm wounds. A fifth victim was discovered inside a vehicle on Highway 903, just outside of town, according to Captain Tommy Parker.

Parker says the child shot is 13-years-old, and not 6, as was first reported. All of the victims are recovering at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville

He said the white Dodge Charger that was used in the shooting has been identified, but not located. An earlier news release saying the car was found was not correct, Parker said.

The vehicle should be in the Scotland Neck, Tarboro, or Rocky Mount area.

The captain says an assault rifle and handgun were used in the shooting. He said they have identified suspects and are working on charging them.

Parker said the shooting was the result of an ongoing dispute between several people at the home on East 13th Street.

Names of those involved have yet to be released.
