Funeral services held for two of four people killed in Wilson County

Two of the four people shot and killed over Christmas weekend in Wilson County were laid to rest Saturday, as police continue to investigate what happened.

Visitation for Paul Pearce and his mother, Tammy Lynette, was held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home with the funeral service following in the chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home in Nashville.

Funeral arrangements for Privette and Outland have not yet been announced.

Paul Shane Pearce, 28, his girlfriend Nicole Privette, 23, his mother, Tammy Lynette Pearce, 54, and her fiance, Selby Gene Outland, 47, were all found shot to death Saturday in a home they rented east of Wilson off of NC 42.

Police are investigating and have not determined a motive, but believe it was an isolated incident.

The search for answers continues Monday after four people were found fatally shot in Wilson County this weekend.

WITN spoke to the owner of the home on Banks Lane where it happened. The home is east of Wilson off NC-42. The homeowner says all four victims lived in the home as renters. She also said the shootings appear to have happened inside several of the rooms.

A family member found the bodies Saturday. Officials say the murders appears to have happened late Friday night or early Saturday morning.

The Wilson County Sheriff's Office released the identities. Officials say 54-year-old Tammy Lynette Pearce, 28-year-old Paul Shane Pearce, 47-year-old Selby Gene Outland and 23-year-old Dominique Nicole Privette were killed.

WITN spoke to a family member who says Tammy and Selby just recently got engaged, while Nikki and Shane were already engaged.

The family member says these four were good people who liked to help others and also had a passion for helping animals.

Police are investigating and have not determined a motive but believe it is an isolated incident.

The Wilson County Sheriff's office has now identified the four victims who were shot and killed over the weekend.

A spokeswoman for the sheriff's office says 54-year-old Tammy Pearce, 28-year-old Shane Pearce, 47-year-old Selby Outland, and 23-year-old Nikki Privette died in the fatal shooting.

WITN spoke to a family member who says Tammy and Selby just recently got engaged, while Nikki and Shane were already engaged.

Deputies were called to the 2200 block of Banks Lane just before 1:00 p.m. Saturday after a family member reportedly found the victims. All four victims were residents of Banks Lane.

Officials say the shooting appears to have happened either late Friday night or early Saturday morning but investigators are still conducting interviews and following up on leads.

Although a motive has not yet been determined, the sheriff's office says this does appear to be an isolated incident.
