ELIZABETH CITY, NC (WITN) - First responders will surround an Eastern Carolina high school Friday morning as part of a practice drill.
People in the area can expect to see a heavy presence of police, fire and EMS around Northeastern High School in Elizabeth City from 9 a.m. until noon.
Volunteers will play roles as emergency victims to make the drill as realistic as possible. School system officials will also be involved.
During the exercise, the school and Oak Stump Road from Farm Drive to Ranch Drive will be closed.
