Investigators say a fire Monday night at a Pitt County auto repair and car lot is not suspicious.

Firefighters were called around 6:00 p.m. to CD's Automotive on Reedy Branch Road and Highway 11.

Fire was heavily involved and the building's roof quickly collapsed. The business had closed about an hour before the fire broke out, according to the fire department.

Count fire investigator Wayne Peaden says right not the cause of the fire is undetermined. He did say it started in a back storage stockroom where there's a lot of electrical equipment and combustible liquids.

The building, which had a $128,000 tax value, was a total loss.
