PITT COUNTY, NC (WITN) - A local Boy Scout troop is reaching a big milestone this weekend.

Boy Scout Troop 25 from Farmville is celebrating its 90th anniversary this Saturday, November 23.
To commemorate nearly a century in scouting, they will be having a celebration featuring an exhibit with old photographs, newspaper articles, old badges, equipment and uniforms from back in the day.
There will also displays and demonstrations from local Boy Scouts of all ranks outside of the museum, including pioneering displays, a knots and lashing station, fire building, first aid and cooking demos with free samples.
The event will take place from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. at the May Museum on S. Main Street in Farmville followed by dinner at 6 p.m. at the First Christian Church.
The event is free, but donations are welcome to benefit Troop 25.
