LENOIR COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - The funeral for a man who apparently drowned in a ditch after a car crash will be held on Friday.
Armin Miller, 55, was found around noon Sunday on Neuse Road, outside of Kinston.
Sheriff Ronnie Ingram says the Kinston man reportedly was at a party the night before and tried to drive when he crashed his car into a ditch.
The man appears to have gotten out of his car when he collapsed in the ditch into some standing water, the sheriff said.
Miller's graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Pinelawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home.
A body was found in a ditch in Lenoir County after an apparent vehicle wreck, Lenoir County Sheriff Ronnie Ingram said.
Sheriff Ingram identified the man as Armin Miller, 55, of Kinston.
The body was found around noon Sunday along the 300 block of Neuse Road.
The victim was reportedly at a party the night before and tried to drive when he crashed his 2006 Chevy Monte Carlo into a ditch, Ingram said.
The man appears to have gotten out of his vehicle when he collapsed in the ditch into some standing water, officials said.
The Sheriff said it appears the man drown, but the cause of death will be confirmed with an autopsy report this week.
An investigation is still ongoing.
