FEMA continues to find housing options for Florence victims

FEMA / Andrea Booher

FEMA is still working to find permanent homes for hundreds of people who have been living in hotels since Hurricane Florence.

FEMA advisors say 900 people are still living in hotels right now.

Advisors are setting up appointments to meet with people in the Transitional Sheltering Assistance Program to discuss more permanent solutions.

Everyone in the program is asked to make sure their contact information is up to date so FEMA officials can get in touch. You can check your status online at DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling the Disaster Assistance Helpline at (800) 621-3362.
