Elizabeth City police searching for KFC robbery suspect

ELIZABETH CITY, NC (WITN) - Police are asking for any information on a robbery that took place Friday night.

Elizabeth City police responded to the KFC on South Hughes Boulevard in regards to a robbery around 9:30 last night.

According to a press release, the suspect showed a demand note to the cashier and told her to stay calm and act as if she was taking a normal order.

The suspect is described as a 5'8" white male with long brown hair and a patchy beard who was wearing a blue bandanna around his neck.

No weapon was shown and no one was injured.

The suspect fled on foot towards Harrell Street with an undisclosed amount of money.
