Another North Carolinian has turned chairs on "The Voice" securing a spot on the NBC singing competition.

Ricky Braddy got a three-chair turn singing "The Story" by Brandi Carlile on last night's episode.

Gwen Steffani, Blake Shelton, and John Legend were all impressed with the singer who grew up performing in the church.

The Elizabeth City native ultimately decided to join Team Blake.

Braddy is the third contestant with North Carolina ties to make it on the hit show that is now in its 18th season.

Also raised singing gospel music is Calvin Lockett, who is from the Triangle area of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. He made it to Gwen Steffani's team with his take on the Temptations "Just My Imagination."

Jake Haldenvang from the Charlotte area also made it onto Team Gwen singing the Revivalists' "Wish I Knew You".
