Sponsored - The holiday season is in full swing Friday night in downtown New Bern, where businesses are taking part in a fun event where their store fronts are decorated extra special for the night.
But it's not just St. Nick that folks have come to see this weekend. The Beary Merry live window display contest got underway at 6 o'clock Friday.
A dozen businesses are participating by sharing different stories through costumes and decorations.
They'll be judged on what story they told, how they told it, and of course how good the decorations look. The displays can be seen until 8 o'clock Friday.
And if you don't get a chance to see Santa on Friday, he'll be at the Christmas festival until Friday evening and through the weekend.
Santa is going to hang around the East all weekend, here from 10-3, and 4-8:30 Saturday as well as 12-6 on Sunday.
The only bad news, because of mother nature the sledding scheduled for this weekend has been postponed until December 22. But that just means more holiday fun on the last Saturday before Christmas.
WITN is a proud sponsor of Beary Merry Christmas in New Bern.
