ECU's Dorian Hardy charged with resisting a public officer

Greenville -- Highly touted ECU defensive end Dorian Hardy was arrested on a charge of resisting a public officer.

Hardy has played in two games this season for the Pirates and has tallied one tackle.

WITN reached out to ECU's athletic department for comment on the situation and Sports Information Director Tom McClellan tells us that ECU head coach Scottie Montgomery is aware of the situation and Hardy has been removed from this weekend's travel roster.

The Pirates will travel to Philadelphia this Saturday take on the Temple Owls in a key AAC matchup.

According to ecupirates.com, before signing with ECU last February Hardy Reportedly earned over 25 offers during recruiting process, which included tenders from Alabama, Baylor, Boston College, Clemson, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, LSU, Miami (Fla.), Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin.
