ECU unveils new manufacturing equipment

GREENVILLE, NC (WITN) New equipment unveiled Monday at ECU is set to help students in advanced manufacturing.

The new advanced manufacturing equipment inside of the Science and Technology building will be used for education and workforce development.

Chancellor Cecil Staton was there for the ribbon cutting.

The new equipment includes a new set of Haas computer numerical control lathes, and mills like those used to produce anything from automotive parts to medical devices.

ECU says its is working to create an integrated space where students can learn and practice the most cutting-edge processes in advanced manufacturing.
