ECU has a new Alumni Association President.

Scott Francis has been appointed as Associate Vice Chancellor and President of the ECU Alumni Association.

Francis joins ECU from the University of Florida where he served as Director of Gator Clubs and affiliate groups overseeing thousands of alumni.

At ECU, Francis will be responsible for representing the interests of nearly 170,000 alumni. He will lead the association's dedicated staff and volunteers and provide direction on the association's many programs and component parts.

Francis says, "I think it is a great time to be a Pirate. Anything from interim chancellor to me being the most recent. It's a great time to look forward and playing from the same music and the same page. It's a incredible time with the new football season starting."

Francis received his bachelor's degree from Stockton University and his master's degree from Western Illinois University. He succeeds Heath Bowman, who served as the ECU Alumni Association's President from October 2015 until January 2019.
