Deputies say man shot neighbor in home invasion

A Greene County man is accused of trying to kill a neighbor after a home invasion.
Tyshaun Fields is charged with attempted first degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, first degree burglary and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Deputies say the armed home invasion happened around 2:00 a.m. Monday at a home on Carson Edwards Road, which is northwest of Hookerton.
Fields, who also lives on Carson Edwards Road, was named as a suspect through interviews and other evidence, according to a sheriff's office news release.
The 28-year-old man was jailed on a $500,000 secured bond and has a court date of next Friday.
Deputies didn't release how serious the victim's injuries were.
