Onslow Co. man accused of killing mom, grandparents gets no bond

ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) -- An Onslow County man who is accused of killing his mother and grandparents will remain locked up without bond.

Deputies were notified by the Burlington Police Department about an abandoned vehicle they found Friday morning, registered to Jordan Meade.

When deputies arrived to the owner's address, 1020 Birchwood Lane, they found two victims dead from gunshot wounds.

A third victim was found in the house next door, 1018 Birchwood Lane.

The 20-year-old Meade was arrested Saturday morning at a grocery store in Burlington by police.

Deputies say the first two victims found were the man's grandparents, Geraldine Hawks, 60, and Emmitt Hawks, 71.

The third victim was his mother, Jackqueline Meade, 48.

Jordan Meade faces three murder charges, and is being held without bond.

During a first court appearance, Meade decided to have a court-appointed attorney and was given May 4th as his next court date.
