GREENVILLE, NC (WITN) - A holiday tradition is returning to the stage this weekend for a good cause.
Dance Art Theatre's Nutcracker Ballet is debuting Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8 for its 28th year.
The performance will feature the sugar plum fairy, the march of the children, a full orchestra score and a cast of 125 kids. Guest artists from the Carolina Ballet, American Ballet Theatre and San Francisco Ballet will also be featured in the performance.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Children's Miracle Network in Greenville.
In the past, the performances have been able to raise $200,000 for children in need in the east.
Shows will be held at Wright Auditorium on ECU's campus at 2 pm and 7 pm on Saturday and again at 2 pm on Sunday.
