BERTIE COUNTY, NC (WITN) - State transportation officials are looking for public feedback on one highway widening project here in the east.
The public is invited to offer feedback Tuesday on plans to make roadway improvements to Highway 45 in Bertie County from the Washington County line to the town of Colerain.
The proposed project would widen existing lanes and shoulders on 22 miles of the highway.
Planners say local officials want to modernize and make safety improvements to the highway.
The meeting is set for 5-7 p.m. tonight at the Lawrence Academy on Avoca Farm Road in Merry Hill.
