DEPUTIES: Man takes only lighters after dollar store break-in

A man broke into a dollar store early today and only made off with lighters, according to deputies..

Herman Ham, 59, of Snow Hill, has been charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, and possession of stolen goods.

Sheriff Lemmie Smith says they responded to an alarm call around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday to the Family Dollar Store in downtown Hookerton. The store's front window was broken and lighters were missing.

After looking at store surveillance video, deputies were able to identify Ham.

The man was jailed on a $30,000 secured bond and has an August 25th court date.
