DEPUTIES: Man accused of letting newborn puppies starve to death

VANCEBORO, N.C. (WITN) - A man from Vanceboro is facing felony charges after deputies say he allowed multiple newborn puppies to starve to death.

Craven County deputies say the newborn pit bull puppies were found dead at a home on Highway 118 in Vanceboro. Deputies later determined that the puppies starved to death.

The Craven County Sheriff's Office Animal Protective Services division charged 38-year-old Maurice Tucker with four felony counts of killing animal by starvation.
