DEPUTIES: 4,000-5,000 Xanax tablets intercepted in mail

GRIMESLAND, NC (WITN) - Three people have been nabbed after Pitt County deputies say thousands of Xanax tablets were intercepted in the mail.

Yesterday, multiple agencies raided a home on Lancelot Street in Grimesland. That led to the arrest of a mother and son who lived there and another man.

It started when deputies say between 4,000 and 5,000 Xanax tablets were found in the U.S. postal system.

Michelle Mclain, 53, who lives at the home, was charged with felony conspiracy to sell/deliver schedule iv controlled substances, possess marijuana up to a half ounce and possess marijuana paraphernalia. She was released on a $10,000 bond.

Thomas Mclain, 23, the woman's son, was charged with conspiracy to sell/deliver Schedule IV controlled substances, possess marijuana up to a half ounce and possess marijuana paraphernalia. His bond was $2,000.

Anthony Antonacci, 26, of Greenville is facing charges of conspiracy to sell/deliver Schedule IV controlled substances, possess marijuana up to a half ounce, and possess marijuana paraphernalia. He was released on an $11,000 bond
