The rain couldn't stop one city in the East from coming together to celebrate all things pirate.
Greenville hosted its annual Piratefest Saturday where people from all over came for fun, food, and games.
There was everything from food trucks to dunking tanks to pirate reenactments, and even a mermaid.
Some folks took the theme of Piratefest quite literally and dressed in their best pirate costumes.
"It's just fun, it's fun to go and give out coins to the kids and have a good time pillaging and plundering and having a little rum here and there," Janet Barnhouse said.
This was the 13th annual Piratefest and those who attended say they hope it continues to be a big hit for the community.
