In 2018, there were about 120,000 attendees for Mumfest. So far, officials say the crowd this year is expected to measure up to last year's.

The festival has received several awards over the years such as NC Main Street Downtown Event and The Sun Journal Reader's Choice Winner as best festival for many years in a row.

People come out from all over the state and surrounding counties to shop local and see what downtown New Bern has to offer.

Juanita Tomson is participating in Mumfest for the second year in a row.

"There's all people from all over the country here and I just really enjoy all the activities that are going on...talking to all the people. It's fun." she says.

Tomson adds, being a vendor at Mumfest has brought more attention to her unique Halloween creations.

If you didn't get a chane to make it to Mumfest Saturday, the festival continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
