"Click It or Ticket" campaign leads to major drug bust in Craven County
Meth, heroin and firearms are all of the streets today after a Thanksgiving "Click It or Ticket" campaign led to a drug bust in one Eastern Carolina county.
The Craven County Sheriff's Office Criminal Patrol Division stopped Bradley Clark, 29, Matthew Messer, 33, and Kenneth Dunlow, 30, around 11:30 Tuesday morning. During the stop K9 Ringo alerted deputies of drugs in the car.
Deputies said they discovered more than 45 grams of meth, heroin and firearms in the car. All three men are charged with two felony counts of trafficking meth as well as carrying a concealed weapon.
Clark and Messer are being held on $100,000 bonds. While Dunlow is being held on a $125,000 bond with another carrying a concealed weapon charge.
Officials said the investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected.
