Citizen complaints lead to drug arrests in Pamlico County

PAMLICO COUNTY, NC (WITN) Complaints from citizens helped lead to the arrests of six people on drug charges in Pamlico County.

The Pamlico County Sheriff's ffice arrested 51-year-old Lisa Hawkins, 29-year-old Daphne Kutkhun, 29-year-old Richard Long, 55-year-oldCarol Stephens and 46-year-old Leslie Anderson, all of Reelsboro, along with 34-year-old Nicole Willis of Newport.

Deputies say along with the help of the SBI, they were able to execute a search warrant at a home on Black Horse Run in Reelsboro after receiving multiple complaints from citizens about drugs.

There they seized trafficking amounts of heroin, prescription medication, cocaine, marijuana, and a large amount of money.

All six suspects face multiple charges related to drugs.

Deputies say their investigation is still on going and additional charges are expected.
