PITT COUNTY, NC (WITN) - Downtown Ayden will be a winter wonderland this Thursday.
The Ayden Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Ayden is hosting their annual Christmas Town in Ayden on Thursday, December 5.
The event will feature a variety of events for the whole family to enjoy, including:
4pm-8pm- Downtown businesses open with giveaways & specials
4pm-8pm- Vendors and Food Trucks- in the Town Hall parking lot
Downtown restaurants and many food trucks will be offering a meal deal for a family of 4 to eat for $20-$25.
4pm-6pm- Hayrides at corner of 3rd and Pitt Street
4pm-6:30pm- Santa's Village in front of the fire department, visit with Santa, play games, take photos, listen to DJ and ride a train from A Time for Science- first 100 kids get a free train.
4pm-6:30pm- Purple the Clown, jumpy house, free glow in the dark jewelry on 2nd Street across from Ayden Christian Church. Organizers say watching the parade on 2nd Street rather than 3rd of West Ave will give you a less crowded experience.
5:45pm- Tar River Band playing Christmas Tunes on the front lawn of Ayden Christian Church and 2nd Street
6pm-6:30pm- Caroling all around downtown
6:30pm- Christmas Parade of Lights featuring the ECU Marching Pirates and Paw Patrol's Marshall and Sky as well as Santa.
The event is free and takes place in downtown Ayden.
