Chocowinity Police make arrest in May bank robbery

Police in the east say they've caught up with a man they believe robbed a bank back in May.

Chocowinity Police say that Michael Moore, 26, of Raleigh was arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and making a false bomb report in a public building.

On Thursday, police say they were assisted by the Wake County Sheriff's Office in executing several search & arrest warrants in the May 28th robbery of the Chocowinity CresCom bank on US 17 Business.

Police say search warrants were executed at Moore's home in Raleigh.

Officials tell us that Moore is a native of Beaufort County and the Chcowinity area.

He's being held on a $125,000 secured bond.

Police gave thanks to those who offered up tips that helped lead to Moore's arrest.
