GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Several candidates will start punching their names on the ticket for 2020 beginning Monday.
The filing period begins at noon and ends at noon on December 20th. Candidates for U.S. Senate, Governor, Lt. Governor, and others have to file their notice of candidacy and pay their filing fee with the state Board of Elections in Raleigh.
Filing for the U.S. House has been postponed because of the ongoing litigation over the drawing of our state's 13 congressional districts.
