Camp Lejeune Marines charged in fight outside Raleigh nightclub

RALEIGH, NC (WRAL) - Three Camp Lejeune Marines who got into a fight in Raleigh are facing assault charges, according to court documents.

Lance Corporal Evan Chicoine, 22, Lance Corporal Jake Schoettle, 23, and Lance Corporal Angel Reyes-Lozano, 23, were all charged with felony assault serious bodily injury, misdemeanor injury to personal property and misdemeanor intoxicated and disruptive.

Camp Lejeune says all three Marines are members of the 2nd Maintenance Battalion.

The fight began out a nightclub on Glenwood Avenue. The Marines are accused of throwing a man into a street sign, officials told WRAL, but the victims' injuries were not serious.

All three were in custody at the Wake County Detention Center with a $15,000 bond.
