Camp Lejeune Marine killed in Saturday morning hit & run

Troopers are trying to find out who struck and killed a Camp Lejeune Marine early Saturday morning.
The Highway Patrol says Sgt. Michael Tooley was walking on Old Folkstone Road near Highway 210 in Sneads Ferry when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle shortly before 3:00 a.m.
The 28-year-old from Sunbury died at the scene, while the vehicle kept going.
Troopers are still working on getting a description of the vehicle that killed the Marine. Anyone with information on the hit and run is urged to call troopers at 910-347-1751.
