HAVELOCK, NC (WITN)- A boil water advisory is in effect for some residents in an Eastern Carolina city.
The City of Havelock says water service was temporarily interrupted as crews dealt with an emergency water line repair on Speight Street.
Water service has been restored to that area, but a boil water advisory is in effect until lab results are received.
It is safe to use water from the faucet for showers during a boil advisory, but water should not be consumed without boiling.
Lab results are expected to be available Tuesday.
We have included a map with this article of the area affected.
